Why You Should Invest in Energy-Efficient Windows

In contrast, they insulate your home in cold weather, keeping heat inside and preventing drafts. It ultimately results in fewer greenhouse gas emissions, lower utility bills, and more comfortable home temperatures.

Inside Mount Blinds

  • Then measure your window’s width and use the smallest of 3 numbers.
  • Measure the window height and use the smallest or the largest number, based on your blinds or shades.
  • Give the measurements to the manufacturer without making any deductions.

Outside Mount Blinds

  • Measure the height from where your blinds will hang down to the window sills. Leave 1½” - 2” for your blinds’ mounting hardware.
  • Again, give the measurements to the manufacturer without making any deductions.

  • Clean larger dust and debris with a vacuum.
  • Use a soft cloth and soapy water for sashes and frames.
  • A glass cleaning solution and a paper towel can efficiently clean the glass.
  • Remove window screens and wash them using a combination of soap and water.
  • Allow them to air-dry after cleaning.

  • Remove the window screen from your window.
  • Remove the existing window screen mesh from the grooves that hold it.
  • Roll out and stretch the replacement screen mesh over your window screen frame, leaving some extra room along the edges, and cut it.
  • Push the new screen mesh into the screen frame using a spline roller.
  • Trim the extra material along the edges.
  • Reinstall your finished window screen.
